Path to UW — a Seattle Promise & University of Washington-Seattle Partnership

The University of Washington is excited to build upon the success of Seattle Promise by connecting students in Seattle Colleges to baccalaureate degree opportunities at the UW.

The goal of The Path to UW program is to provide support, planning resources, community, and academic preparation experiences to Seattle Promise students on their journey from high school, through their Associate's Degree, and to the University of Washington.

Who is eligible for this program?

All students participating in the Seattle Promise program.

What does the program include?

  • Individualized admissions and advising support.
  • Tailored events meant to help Seattle Promise students prepare to transfer to UW.
  • Summer academic transition courses meant to help Seattle Promise students prepare for the academic transition to University of Washington.

Transfer Preview Day Promise Lunch Session 12/12/24

When: Transfer Preview Day and the Path to UW Lunch is on Thursday, December 12th 2024 in the Husky Union Building (HUB), Room 250.

Event Details: 
At this lunch session you will get to connect with the Path to UW team and learn about upcoming transfer and application support opportunities, hang out and chat with current UW transfer students from different majors and ask them questions about their experiences and their time on the UW campus, and get support planning out your afternoon sessions according to your transfer goals for those who are staying for the day's programming.

This lunch is part of Transfer Student Preview Day (TSPD), an all day event open to any student interested in transferring to UW Seattle in the future. While you are welcome to just attend our lunch, we encourage you to attend other parts of the day too. You will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions to learn more about preparing to transfer, and have chances to connect with many of the major advisers and transfer resources here.
