Get a head start on exploring UW and planning your transfer journey to and through UW Seattle.

This workshop is especially for students in their first year at the Seattle Colleges who are starting to explore transferring options and might have an interest / know they already have an interest in UW Seattle. If you are curious on how to learn more about options at the school, how to prepare for different major pathways, and course planning tips to help you stay on track and keep doors open check it out! If you are not in your first year but are just getting started exploring UW, you are of course still welcome to join.

Some topics we will aim to cover:

  • What is cool about UW Seattle? How is it similar or different to Bothell & Tacoma campuses?
  • How do you explore what is available at UW? Majors, opportunities, and more! There is a lot more here than you might know about!
  • If you know a possible major interest, how do you learn more about that interest? What information should you make sure to consider?
  • How do you start to think about what you might want to prioritize class-wise for majors you might be interested in / want to explore and how do you think about how to fit classes into your associates pathway while making sure they also transfer?
  • What questions might be helpful to ask the Path to UW team this year and ask retention specialists as you figure your plans out?
