Path to UW — a Seattle Promise & University of Washington-Seattle Partnership. Path to UW seminars are an incredible opportunity for students to get a head start on their UW journey. These seminars provide a unique way to learn about what UW has to offer and get a head start on building connections with UW faculty, experiencing the UW classroom setting, navigating UW resources, and learning more about the opportunities this school has to offer. We offer two types of seminars, Academic Introduction and Academic Transition. Seminars will take place on the UW Seattle campus from Aug 20 through Sept 12, 2024.
Academic Introduction Seminars are designed for Seattle Promise students exploring transferring to UW-Seattle who have not applied for and been admitted to UW for Autumn 2024. Students have the opportunity to begin building connections to the UW Campus and get personalized admissions and academic advising early on.
Academic Transition Seminars are designed for students who are affiliated with the Seattle Promise program and who are admitted to and choose to attend UW-Seattle in Autumn 2024. They are created to support incoming students with a smoother transition onto the UW campus through faculty connection, personalized advising support, and campus exploration activities.
