How to Submit Official College Transcripts to UW from Seattle Colleges

Official transcripts from all schools you’ve attended must be sent to the University of Washington between the dates August 1st - September 1st

How to Send Transcripts:

  • Visit studentclearinghouse.org to request your transcript.
  • Recipient: “University of Washington”
  • Recipient email: ugatranscripts@uw.edu (This email goes directly to UW Admissions — DO NOT use a personal email.)
  • If you are asked for a mailing address, you can use the address listed on this page.
NOTE: Other schools may use Parchment or other systems. This is just for Seattle Colleges.
UW Priority FAFSA/WAFSA Filing Date for 2026-27 Academic Year: February 28, 2026 (for WINTER 27' applicants too)

The priority filing date for UW campuses for the FAFSA/WAFSA for 2026-27 Academic Year will be February 28. Students hoping to be considered for federal aid and grants should aim to be submitting by the priority deadline to avoid the need for additional petitions to be considered for priority aid from UW. This included for winter 227 admission. If you did NOT submit a FAFSA/WAFSA already but are hoping for aid, reach out and we can connect you on with our financial aid office for next steps to help you be considered for as much aid as possible at UW.

While filing by this date does not guarantee financial aid award, it does mean that you will be considered for the maximum amount of aid opportunities that your FAFSA/WAFSA information would make you potentially eligible for. Do official transcripts need to be sent by or received by September 1st for my application?

Official transcripts should be sent to UW as soon as possible. While ideally they are sent soon enough to be recived by the app deadline, there is a buffer time so sending them by the deadline date is a last resort, but acceptable. After the deadline, admissions will pair applications received with transcripts received. Transcripts can take time to process and send so there is a grace period. If admissions can't find transcripts to pair with your app, they will reach out to you and let you know your app is incomplete. You need to make sure to look out for those messages and let them know you sent those transcripts along and work with them from there.

Keep in mind that if you need transcript support, college staff are typically offline after 4:00 PM on Fridays, so please plan ahead if you might need support.

WIN27 Applicants: Check for your UW NetID Instructions Email!Students who applied for Autumn 2026 should be receiving emails about how to set up (or reactivate if you already had one) your UW NetID. You will want to follow the steps to set this up as soon as possible. If you do not receive this to your email you set up your UW application account with by the end of February, we recommend reaching out to us and we can help with next steps. You need this NetID to access your UW application portal and other resources.
